don't know of any place around keaton to get oysters, although i'm sure there are some. I'd avoid 'em, given that LOTS of folks been getting sick recently. (I know that ain't what you want to hear.) If you buy some, cook em done. real done. :thumbdown:

an acre around keaton beach is running around $60K right now... that's in the Leisure Retreats/Yates Creek area. Keaton to Rock Island, Saturday-1/21/06

Hit the public landing to heavy fog about 7:30 this morning. Water temp in the channel 58*. No breeze at all, and the sun rising very nicely to a mix of clouds. Flipped around in the channel to fish right off Keaton, hit the flats 2.5-4' of water... went north to Dekle to join a few other boats, 3-5...
