Re: Late November Fishing for Red Snapper, Red Grouper, and Hogfish
Always a great report! Went a couple weeks ago with a friend out of Appalach. Fished in 250 feet. Caught plenty of Red Snapper-some big ones, 2 scamp, 1 red grouper, and plenty of really nice gags. Yall had a great day!
Thanks for the comment. I’d love to get out to 250’ again, but that won’t ...

Late November Fishing for Red Snapper, Red Grouper, and Hogfish
It was foggy last Friday, November 21, 2025, as we launched the boat at Carrabelle. Visibility was 200 yards, tops. Always Check Your Deer Stands
The directions for every deer stand that I’ve ever assembled, include the same warning— check your stand before using it every time. It’s great advice, but it’s hard to do in the dark early mornings when you meant to be up in the stand 20 minutes earlier.

Since I’m not fishing.
I wish I had one of those. The other week I had to drag a doe out the old-fashioned way.

Going deep out of Apalachicola on Saturday, November 1, 2025
On Saturday Nov. 1, 2025, my fishing buddies and I decided to go deep out of Apalachicola and explore new areas. We had high hopes of catching scamp grouper and red snapper. For bait, we had a variety of frozen baits—cigar minnows, LYs, squid strips, and Bonita strips. We also had slow pitch jigs ...
