I think the heat is responsible for the slow bite. Fortunately, the red snapper season will continue into some of the cooler months.

We got our squid strips at Crum’s. They stay on the hook much better than whole squid.

That’s what we see back east some. There will be one or two sows on a spot…. We are divers so don’t fish them too much. With all that bait I can see why they wouldn’t bite. Where you see the numerous smaller RS, you probably won’t find big ones there. You are correct that the sows dominate the reef...
