I launch at Spring Creek. As long as I catch the tide before it drops below 1.5 ft, I can load my 17' Carolina Skiff without any problems. Just watch out for the hole on that one side of the ramp.

If it's high tide, I sneak into my sister's place and use their ramp. :D

Launched out of Spring Creek about 8:00 am with my father and cousin. We headed out to the grass flats out in front of Smith Island. Yes, we were trolling around the posted rotary reef. The stretch we were using was green and white. Don't think the color mattered. Another boat or two were also catching them just as fast. Don't think they were using the same colors. Trolling between 19ft and 25 ft depth.

10/17 Fairly close in.

Left out of Spring Creek about 8:30 am heading out to rotory 1 in my Carolina Skiff. Bottom fished for about an hour catching nothing worth keeping.

Decided to try around Rotory 4 and still no luck on the bottom. Put a stretch 25 out behind the boat and trolled. FISH ON! :D Caught 8 keeper Grouper ...
