Re: Stinking winnnnnnd
BloodyChamp…a mullet rig? You were fishing for mullet? I have never heard of them eating bait. Not planning on fishing for them but would love to hear what you were actually using.

Re: Are the good times really over?..
Nice Red…ummm…Red. Beautiful fish. I’m lucky enough to live in Florida and Montana and get to flyfish Apalachee Bay and Southwest Montana. They are equally beautiful and largely protected. I fish with a few fellas with young sons and my message to them is always, “The good old days are now”. That sa...

Re: Spanish Macks
8wt, I got a few Spanish this spring though I wasn’t specifically targeting them. Am back in Montana now but tied up some Clousers in the manner pictured below, though I left the front half of hook exposed instead of wrapping it with thread. The theory being that instead of a 40# shock tippet, the h...

Re: I demand more fishing posts!
Went out yesterday and searched for fish in and out of the boat. Wind calmed while I was wading around an oyster bar and I stuck on a White Gurgler and immediately started catching Specs. Landed 3 that were 18” and had a number of other hits including a small trout coming all the way out of the wate...

Re: I demand more fishing posts!
Man, that fog was a killer last week! I went out a few times and got a few trout each day around oyster bars. Then, this weekend, I loaded up the Seaark and went to my sister’s new condo in Crystal River. The f’n tide was at such an extreme low on Sat I couldn’t get the boat off her lift. Took it of...

Re: Sheepshead
Speaking of Sheepshead, I was FlyFishing up a creek yesterday. Was anchored up on a wide oyster bar with a drop off on the edge. Was fishing out of the boat using sink tip fly line and a gold spoon. It’s a place where I’ve caught a bunch of Reds. Anyway, after about 15 minutes of thorough fishing I ...

Re: Boat Flooring Question -
I forgot to mention that as well. It made walking around on my boat much, much quieter.
Yeah, my wife told me to f-off last year when I told her about the $1900 quote. Instead I purchased a pad for $60 that is now attached to the 65qt RTIC that I stand on when poling. We'll s...

Re: Boat Flooring Question -
This guy quoted me $1900 installed with a 3 years warranty to do my Seaark 1860. He's out of Ocala so there would be some logistics to work out. He will do the measurements and quote the Seadek by itself which you would then install if that's preferred. I have the Seaark vinyl in my boat. I think he...

Re: Tarpon Fishing
Burgess can certainly "teach" someone how to run by on plane within a push pole length of someone else up on the poling platform, sight-fishing. Guess he was out that day they taught flats etiquette. Interesting comment. I've always respected you and your posts. I did spend a day with Bur...
