Re: Sportdog underground fence ???
Had a friend that was having problems with his lab running off and got the sportdog about 5 years ago. Never had a problem with it after the first week and added a new dog a couple months back and ran off first day. After we got to looking the whole front part of the wiring was gone and the best he ...

Re: RIP George HW Bush
I was actually reading a book last month written by the man that founded The Worldwide Sportsman that talked about 41 and his love for saltwater fishing. It had a chapter that talked about while he was guiding in the Florida Keys George H.W. Bush would come down frequently and spend a couple days ...

Re: Newbie to fly fishing
You may try one of the practice fly rods they have on the market. That helped me the most getting the timing down and correcting my motion. Also, try looking up how to double haul cast on youtube and will help you manage the wind MUCH easier. It takes a bit to get the timing down, but will help in ...

Re: Newbie to fly fishing
If you haven't picked up a fly rod yet, I would recommend ebay to start with. You can pick up a rod for cheap. You can pick up a nice starter rod for pennies on the dime. If you search blair wiggins fly rod, you can pick up one of those new for less than $20. They were going for $200 a couple years ...

Re: DIY fish campsite
Not to mention when a hurricane comes that it would be a simple pickup and move instead of worrying if your place is going to make it through the night. I've been interested about this too so hopefully a few people will respond

Re: Who uses a casting platform?
It may get a little hard for cobia on the front looking, but in my opinion should gain some distance. I forget the ratio, but I believe it is for every foot higher you get, you gain 20' of vision looking out into the water, maybe someone knows for sure what it is. With the heavy duty coolers out ...

Best Inshore Patterns
I am getting ready to move back into the area and picked up fly fishing the last 2 years while living around the Ozarks and love it. I am wanting to try my luck and combining it with my true love, saltwater. Are there any patterns that you would recommend? Would you recommend starting dry or wet ...
