Re: Offshore Sat 6/26
The X rap 40 magnum 40 wahoo color caught all the king's this past weekend. In my original post I said x rap but I mis spoke or typed. It produced grouper and snapper two weeks ago. The stretch 30 green and yellow worked as well.

Re: Gag Grouper Trolling Setup
I'm using 80lb fluro. About a 6ft length. I pull stretch 30 and Z Rap 40's. Usually start in 50ft of water and catch snapper and grouper that way but the king's were thick this past Saturday.

Re: Trolling report
We just troll the stretch 30's and the Z Rap 40's and pick up snapper in 90ft of water. Have caught grouper and snapper in 60ft using those plugs.

Offshore Sat 6/26
Left Lanark at 0400 heading out to 65ft. Wet ride out and just a bit bumpy. Was excited to get offshore again to get some red snapper. Opening weekend we got our limit plus a few grouper. Arrived at 65 ft and first drop produced a 30in gag. Just knew we were gonna have an epic day. Not the case ...

Yeah I'm gonna start going southwest and hunt some ground out that way. Still rusty I am. Also still learning the gulf waters. It's a blast tho.
Silverking, some one told me that boat stands for: Break Off Another Thousand. I believe it's true.

Nobody around town had time to fix it so we put the boat back on the trailer and back home to Valdosta Ga we go. Called a Mechanic in Moultrie ...
Re: Loran
I have the Simrad Go 9. It will convert loran to gps automatically. I'm still learning how to use it. Very detailed.

Maiden Voyage for VISION II WON
Wife and I left Valdosta at 4am today headed for carrabelle. Stop at lanark market and got ice bait and fueled up. Decided to put in right there thinking carrabelle was gonna be packed.
Wasn't sure how to get of there and head offshore so I followed some other boats.
Went out past dog island ...
