Re: Panacea wading?
A local told me if you cross the bridge, turn on Alligator point rd, there's a trail a little ways down that goes to your right. I think he called it Turkey Lake. Said that was where to go for mullet. Said people launched kayaks in there. I did not have time to explore.

Re: Panacea wading?
Guys, I apologize for not getting in here to report on my day. Simply put, wind was too bad the day I went. Had I been able to get there at daylight, it would have likely been more productive. But I didn't even throw much.

Panacea wading?
Will be in Panacea this weekend and would like to castnet for some mullet. Have been to the state park and tried wading in bay. That place is a mudpit and you sink to your knees if your not on an oyster bar. Does anyone know any other areas I should look at with public access that might yield some ...

Chain Castnets?
I will be buying a new bag net later in the year. Does anyone have experience with castnets that have chain on the bottom instead of lead? If so, please share thoughts.

Bald Point State Park - Pompano?
May head out there Saturday to celebrate Mother's Day. Would do some shore fishing. Are pompano still around and do they come in that close?
Other shore fishing tips for area appreciated. Will definitely have my cast net in case a mullet swims by.

Re: SGI inshore
does anyone have any success north of the bridge between Eastpoint and Apalach? Just looking out over all the grass and backwater, looks like it would hold a lot of fish, especially in cooler months?
Re: Fryers
Used a Henny fryer back in the day at Chic Fil A. You'd have to fry a lot to justify. However, they (or one like them) may be available used online or at restaurant supply (especially now with so many restaurants closed, unfortunately).

Shell Point
Advice please: We will be staying in a house at Shell Point 3rd week of June. May or may not have a boat, but can definitely have kayaks. Is there any use trying to do some yak fishing in that area? I know zero about this area. Will also be taking a castnet for some wade fishing. Any advice or ...

Many of the ones already mentioned. But not a fan of speckled cats. Too soft.
