How do you catch mid-range Reds?
I haven't fished for them much but I have only caught either small or large redfish. The small(under 2#)have been caught while targeting trout. The 2 large (33#, 36#) have been caught pier and surf fishing. I've tried topwater but with no luck. The small one's were caught on jigs and shrimp. What am ...

This might not be any help as my experience comes from rivers but for what its worth. I fish from a 15' solo whitewater canoe with a 28'' beam ,about the same as a rec. kayak. New Guy needs help
I live in Tennessee, but will probably get down to Bald Point this December and this coming June. I will be bringing a canoe and would like to know any good places for it. Is the canoe a waste of time? Mostly only fished for specks before but would like a few redfish. Any advice greatly appreciated.
