Re: Mangrove snapper
I was thinking of tryin some full moon night fishing. Not sure I should be running far enough offshore to get to 80’ in my little bay boat though lol at least not alone anyway. I stay to stay around 30 or less miles from shore.

Re: Who said only redfish hit gold spoons?
Wife don’t like the aqua dreams just the Johnson spoon. When I first told her to try the spoon she said @ you just don’t want me to catch anything with this stupid lure” that day she caught her first and biggest redfish, got so excited she tipped her kayak lol.

Guess that’s fishing lol. How deep of water did you find them in. Heard they were spawning and were easier to trick under a full moon. (Seen it on fishing show lol)

I usually only use a 20lb fluro leader for most everything. I’m a bass fisherman by upbringing bored with lakes and trying to branch out.

Re: Scalloping......
I always bring isopropyl alcohol with us on the boat and kayaks just to be safe. My wife tipped her kayak over and cut her hand on a oyster bar and we cleaned it right away and she had no issues at all.

I was in Steinhatchee opening weekend. Went south by pepperfish key and the water was murky and couldn’t see anything. Maybe there’s a secret to seeing when the water is green
