Has anyone been catching them? Any suggestions? Water depth? Bait? Any suggestions?
Ive never caught one and would like to check that off my list.

75=80' of water limited out the past two weekends. There were red and gag groupers in the same spots.

No used fresh Bonita that we catch on the way out and cut up into strip bait.
We went back out today and we were in 80-90 foot of water we caught 7 Red snappers, 2 Red grouper, 1 Gag grouper, 1 mangrove snapper and 1 lane snapper. same general area just deeper water than last time.

Fishing out of Ocklocknee Bay
We went out Friday morning headed out to 70 foot of water near O tower. We found a spot that we landed 2 Red Snapper, 1 red Grouper, 1 Gag Grouper, 2 mangrove snappers, 2 Lane snappers, and a ton of Vermilion snappers. It was a great day.
