Re: Redfish live bait

I’ve only used lures for so long that I’ve forgotten how to use live bait! What is everyone using to target redfish? A long time ago a bait store recommended mud minnows, I didn’t have any luck. Shrimp just seems to get a lout of trout/cats/bait fish for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The p...

Re: Panacea wading?

Tucker lake is not a spot to wade, yes I’ve done it in winter; but I’m crazy and went to public schools. But the lake has a boggy mud bottom, and is known to have a healthy gator population. I would recommend hitting bald point at a low tide and walking the oyster bars, they can produce some quality...

Re: Father-son time on the water

Man we had a good time, was awesome getting to meet you and your son. Went back today to some of the same spots and the water temp had already dropped 3-4 degrees. Thank your for the kind review; look forward to a future trip flounder gigging.

..what rain? Fish are already wet. Fishing in the rain gives you a chance to fresh water rinse your bilge pumps.

Re: Dove shoots

I know the owners of JB Sopchoppy Sauce were in the works of starting bird shoots. Maybe reach out to them on social media and check in on that.

Re: Huge Disappointment

That’s the way she goes man.. good news though. The cooler weather coming will bring the big girls in. You will have another shot at a gator. Couple winters back I lost two PB’s back to back right at the boat. Big trout definitely fight different than the smaller younger brethren. When trout fishing...

Re: Almost Fall Y’all!

Big pods of thread-fin today on the flats around six foot of water.

Spanish are in thick right now, caught a boat load of them past few days with some jacks, trout, and blues mixed in. Majority of the macks are around 20”. Even had some sharks show up too.

Almost Fall Y’all!

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210831/38c455868056acab9f67d1e82e2af19e.jpg Summer time is starting to wrap up and water temps are starting to slowly drop. Of course we have had some help from these storms of lately, but i’m not complaining. The mullet are already gaining size and adding fat in ...

thank you
I could be wrong here, but I believe the chain nets are used more for shrimping.

Roseate Spoonbills

There is a boat ramp at the mouth of the river; take the right before the bridge and head past the condos at otter creek rise, than take a left on RoHo. Or you can take the left at River road (before RoHo) and it will run into RoHo . They are both dirt roads. But if you turn onto RoHo it will give y...

Roseate Spoonbills

I have been spotting them for the past couple weeks. I was fishing around bottoms today and believe I saw that same flock myself. Also have been noticing a lot of younger ospreys around. Maybe this time of year is when the new generation leaves the nest. Counted six of them when I was headed back to...
