Re: Aucilla River ramp fee
I have seen the broken trailers at Aucill River too. You do have to be careful ...esp on low tide. I went down to the tax office in Perry the first time I got the decals....got 8 of them for my fishing buddies....but last year they let me phone them in and paid with a credit card. It's a good deal i...

Re: Aucilla River ramp fee
I have had a ramp pass attached to my truck for Aucilla River launch for the past two years. You obtain one from the Tax office at Taylor County Courthouse...$20 per year. Anyone can purchase one. The stamp for St Marks won't work there.

Re: One Inshore Bait ?
White-Gulp-Shrimp.......I used over 5 1/2 packs last time I went......caught the limit (2 of us) of trout and many, many bottom fish. Go out to deep water too...10--11--12 feet deep.... if the weather lets you. We just cancelled for tomorrow because of the weather. It's really dangerous to go out th...

Re: Econfina...June25, 2008
I forgot the two fish that were caught at the same time.....a grass grouper and a black bass were caught at the same time....on the same hook...a jig and gulp. Both fish were hooked on a single jig. First time I have ever seen that. Never have seen a fish bit into by a shark...but we did on this tri...

Econfina...June25, 2008
Went to Econfina yesterday. Hot isn't the words to describe it....the fishing and the weather. We decided to go out....rather than in...and that's just what we did. We went 7-8 miles streight out from the river pole. We sat down right in the midst of some keeper trout and about everything else you c...

Re: Aftermarket trim tabs
I had after market trim tabs on my boat for several years. They work....do just what they are suppose to do...lift up the back end of a boat...and lower the nose. The type tabs I had were not the type you can control from the wheel. They had a hydraulic operated shock that came into play when you to...

Re: Little grass grouper?
A friend of mine caught 3 of them 2-3 weeks ago, along with several black bass, out of Econfina. He didn't know what he had...so he kept them. He had several speckled trout that were over 15 in. (said he knew that the bottom limit of them was 15 in. When he came into the landing at the end of the da...

We went Friday to Aucilla River and did about the same as you...but rough as a cob....almost too rough. Caught a cobia just about the size as your's too. What a fight on light tackle. There back.

Re: Yall know what really burns my azz???
Barhop and Jump Trout are right on the money. The value of the American dollar is the lowest it's been in many many years. The price of crude oil is tied to the dollar world wide...and it's continueally sinking...and crude oil is going sky high...and OPEC says they aren't going to produce more oil t...

Re: North of Keaton - 3-10-08
Almost all people that go fishing much...sometimes during their life...leave the trailer on the ball unsnapped. I have done it once and if it wasn't for chains there would have been a catastrophe. Good report...I have been wondering how the storm effected the fishing. I agree...later on in the week ...

Re: KEATON BEACH STORM
Dixie Reb was down there the day before this thing hit. He was down at are near Yates Creek....fishing....when the wind began to blow real hard...and the sea got real rough...he nearly didn't make it back to Keaton Beach landing. He and his buddy were soaked when they finally made it in. You can't m...
