Re: Looking for Used Chain Link Fencing

Futchcairo, I checked out the craigslist ad. There is some wire, but it's in pretty poor condition and there will be a delay in obtaining it.

Tom, I'd love to see what you have and maybe talk bidness. Please call me (Kevin Blaine) at your convenience. Home 539-8659 Cell 264-4179.

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: Cash for Cownose Rays Anyone?

I know nothing at all about cownose rays, so I did a quick google search and found this: http://www.neaq.org/animals_and_exhibit ... /index.php

Apparently, they may be a threatened species.

Re: Plants for Donations

Sea Gurl,
Are the plants still available? If so the Gadsden County Humane Society would gladly sell them to raise funds for needy animals. Please contact my wife billiejblaine@yahoo.com with details. She can put you or whoever in touch with the appropriate person for credentials, receipts, etc ...

Carrabelle-Dog Island

Greetings,
I heard that the waters around Dog Island have been productive. I've never fished that area before and am seeking advice. I plan to put in at Carrabelle. I'd like to catch some fish, any kind of fish, but my preference is trout and spanish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Glass Minnows

I've done a small amount of research on these critters. Apparently, they're anchovies. I see them on the flats from time to time and usually they are being harrased by Spanish and trout. What I don't understand is why noone mentions using them for bait. Has anyone here tried them for bait? I'm ...

Re: Specs?

Showboat,
I'm putting it out here for you and I hope I don't regret it. Trolling jigs is the way to catch more and bigger crappie at Talquin. When I say trolling, I mean SLOW trolling. The key is to get your jigs at 12 to 14 ft. deep in 16 to 20 ft. of water. Buy extras because you will lose a few ...

Re: Talquin slabs

Yes, they are biting. I took home 15 today and threw back at least 5 for every keeper. My fish came out of 16-20 ft of water slow trolling jigs in the lake. Surface temp is 55 F. Yesterday, I only cought 3 keepers but I spent most of my time trying to control the boat instead of fishing. The wind ...

St. Marks Trout

Not a lot of reports out of St. Marks lately. Anybody know if the trout are still on the flats? I'd love to catch em one more time this year. Thanks

Re: 1st and 2nd Amendment

I'm sorry you guys are suffering these reprehensible acts. I must live in a good neighborhood cause when I came home from work tonight, it looked like someone had washed and waxed the Uhbama-Biden signs stuck in my yard. I might park my truck next to one of them and see what happens. Buy stocks now ...

Re: Safe Travels into Talquin

Redphisher,
I've been fishing Talquin for several years now and I'm still afraid of it. I usually put in at the closest ramp to where I want to fish and with the exception of very few areas I move around very slowly. That lake can be treacherous. I wish there was some way we could get the ...

Re: Bearing Buddy

Pirate,
Like Dubble said, you have what is known as an EZ Lube system. Under those little rubber caps is a grease fitting that pumps grease all the way to the inner bearing. These systems come with double wall seals to keep grease from escaping in that direction. As factory installed, these systems ...

Re: Wonders of Nature - Mystery Creatures!

I had a bug ID question once. I emailed a picture to my local county extension agent, and he quickly ID'd the critter. That is one awesome looking cattapi-caterpil-cattap-worm!
