Re: Carrabelle Fishing Tips
Hi guys, New to the forum and new to fishing the Carrabelle area. I've got a 230 Everglades and would appreciate any tips for inshore and offshore areas to fish. I've read some good tips about the Lanark area, backside of Dog Island, and backside of SGI for trout and reds. What should I be looking ...

Re: Reminder about Australian Gold Sunscreen vs Flies
I think it was a couple years ago someone on this forum pointed me to this for the seasonal biting flies out right now. I was under attack Friday and remembered I had some Australian Gold on board. It really works, stopped 95% of the landings on my legs that were driving me crazy. I got mine on Ama...

Re: St Marks Scallops
Anyone been doing any better around St. Marks? My family and I have been once and found very few in the typical places. Visibility was great and the grass looked to be doing very well. Just didn't find many scallops.

Re: Boat Flooring Question -
This guy quoted me $1900 installed with a 3 years warranty to do my Seaark 1860. He's out of Ocala so there would be some logistics to work out. He will do the measurements and quote the Seadek by itself which you would then install if that's preferred. I have the Seaark vinyl in my boat. I think h...

Re: Boat Flooring Question -
I bought some cheap, knockoff brand foam decking on Amazon three years ago and it's held up really well on my G3. Other than my poor installation skills, it looks pretty good. I made sure I cleaned the aluminum deck really well before I installed it. It wasn't very sticky the first day I installed ...

Re: T-Top vs. Bimini
I have a bimini top that goes on the boat when the family is on the boat or if fishing July through August. It’s usually only two of us fishing, and with the Bimini up it’s not really in the way and provides a lot of shade when needed. I do agree a T-top would provide a lot more utility such as rod...

Re: Live shrimp
JR's has had them every time I've been the past two months. In the past, they've been out when there is a big crown at the Aucilla. Especially if you get there late in the day. I'd stop somewhere en route or call ahead. The can usually tell you what day the shrimp truck is bringing in a new load.
