Re: Keaton Beach Shark Attack
My boat was 40 yards from her and we were all in the water when it happened. Had no idea until we heard the screams, thought someone got hit by another boat. Talked with people next to hear and found out it was a shark and started warning the other boats after the shark was spotted again. Water was ...

Re: Avoiding Amberjack
We've done that and get to the bottom just fine but the AJs are still eating it on the bottom. Was thinking a knocker rig or going toward dead bait would be a better option but I know the gags really love pinfish,

Avoiding Amberjack
We are headed out to a live bottom area off Steinhatchee for the last day of Gag Grouper season. This particular spot is always LOADED with big AJs, which love live pin fish just like the gag grouper, but the season will be closed. In the past even when we try fishing right on the bottom we still ...

That’s what I was thinking just looked a little odd based on the pics I found on Google. Super cute though and by boy loved checking him out. The saltwater never disappoints with cool stuff.

Flatfish ID
So I am usually pretty good at fish ID but this one has me kind of stumped. Caught it in a tidal creek coming out of some mangroves at Anclote Key. Thought 100% a juvenile flounder but after looking at pics I’m not so sure. No defined tail, it was a perfect tear drop shape with fins all around. Any ...

Re: Circle Hooks On Jigheads
Thanks for all the info! I was thinking that a knocker rig would essentially do the same thing. Just seems odd that it's something they dnt check when stopping you.

Circle Hooks On Jigheads
Hope this isn't too dumb of a question.
I'm headed down to the New Port Richey are and will be targeting some mangrove snapper with the family. I know you have to use circle hooks for reef fish but I see a popular technique for mangroves using jigheads with a live pinfish. According to the ...

Re: Gag Grouper Trolling Setup
Seriously? 130+ people viewed the post and nobody has ever trolled for gags? I'm not looking for any spots, just want to know what line people prefer.

Gag Grouper Trolling Setup
Going to try trolling for some Gags when I am in Steinhatchee next week. Any keepers still to be found in state waters or am I too late?
