I am proud to say the Legacy now belongs to me! She is a beauty and rides great. Going to think of a name for her.... maybe the Bear essentials! Thanks for a super deal on a great boat! :-D

Re: Nav hazards east of the Lighthouse?

There are some hazards out from Econfina from broken down bird rack and you coould see timbers piled up under the water. I marked them after Dennis. The numbers were: N 3000020 W 08357969 Another hazard : N30000012 W 08357960. I marked them long time ago and never been back around them. I usually ru...

New Grouper rules in Gulf?

I went on line and read new regulations for Gag grouper : up to 2 gags in 5 count limit and 2 reds in state waters starting Jan 1, 2009 . I want to make sure this is correct. Please confirm. There has been many reports and this was as of Dec 08.

Re: power cord for Garmin

Bethel-Marine.com had the best prices for me. Bought a transducer for my garmin depth finder. It was sent quickly and even with shipping was cheaper than other areas

Re: Econfina, general info

One thing no one has mentioned is there is a large rock in the middle of the river just past the last house so when you go past the no wake zone area headed out, vere to the right side slowly . There was also a dead tree somewhere over there on that side about 8 feet from the bank. Many a foot has b...

Re: Econfina, general info

You dont need to go out of the river if temp is 32 or below.... everyone says trout will be in river when its really cold. Watch the north wind because the tides wont work right with strong north wind. Tide may not come in on time! Good luck! The only time I ever damaged my skeg I was going slow and...

Re: Any recommendations on a Prepaid Cell Phone?

Ive got AT and T and have good reception at Econfina and got coverage few weeks ago out 9 miles. The problem is AT&T doesn't do well in Tville and west toward Barwick. I live in Palm Coast and only couple dead zones on I 10 . My daughter lives close to Barwick and my phone won't work there. I'm ...

Re: Which Tow>

I thought mistakenly that either tow would honor membership in each other but not the case as I found out last Saturday. Sea Tow did come back to me on the radio but would not pick us up even thought 2 people had been thrown out of the boat ! I'm not happy about that at all! We have BoatUS and the b...

Panko Crusted Trout

Tried this tonight with fresh trout and it was delicious! Have used grouper before but I think this is better since it is not as thick. I also buy Progresso Panko bread crumbs. Unseasoned because I like the natural fish taste. These are good and cheaper than some of the others on the market. If you ...
