Rocky Creek boat ramp was not crowded, buy it was a long ride north to find clear water and scallops. Looks like coffee down there.
The number of boats streaming out of Steinhatchee is still a sight to see on a weekday.

3' deep and clear is hitting it right!
airbnb flooded out so we rescheduled for this Wednesday. Tide and rain look bad but if you don't go then you don't go! This philosophy works out most of the time.

We're booked to go out of Rocky Creek next week. Hope the rain hasn't pushed them out too deep!
Steinhatchee was a zoo every time I ever went there.

Re: Kid snorkel
I can see that. My family all have big heads anyhow. My momma said she had to get my first ball cap off the NAPA truck.
10-4 on the pool time. I need to refresh, myself. Probably gonna take a couple glass bottom buckets and dip nets just in case.

Gotta buy a 13yo and 11yo scallop gear. How do y'all handle this with fast growers? They will probably use them for serious twice before I have to replace.

Re: Aggravating Toms
Yeah, I go round howling all over.
It feels silly but I've been known to run away from a gobbler to get to a better spot to call it in. Been chased a couple times. I swear they think it's a hen running.

Re: Aggravating Toms
The instance where the hen came in and the gobbler didn't was due to your set up. The economy of nature dictates an animal must not spend calories unnecessarily. If the gobbler can see your position without coming in range, it will usually use its eyes instead of its feet. Set up so that it must ...
