[/quote]Yes, was it enough yet, do not think so. When we were in the channel I pushed it up and 38 on GPS @ 5100 was it, and this was with 2 people and gear with min fuel. I should have gained 300 - 400 RPM by raising but never happened. I doubt you'll see much of an rpm change with just raising the...

Seminole is still pretty muddy, which makes spec fishing tough for me. Anybody heard about the clarity at Talquin? The OK river at hwy 27 was high and muddy on monday.

Raising the motor won't affect your trim angle appreciably, it will reduce your drag (less or the foot in the water) and help with porpoising. Right now your anticavitation plate is even with the keel. Next time you're out, have someone drive while you look over the transom. Unless your boat is extr...

But your keel will not be level with the water's surface while on plane unless your running a nitrous system and getting about 90 kts out of that merc! :-D

Still looks like your motor is too low. The anti-cavitation plate on the foot of your motor should be about even with the water's surface while on plane. You might see even better performance by raising it up a bit (less drag). It will definitely improve the porpoising if that continues to be a prob...

Oh yeah, forgot about the back up disengage, my trucks all have 7 pin connectors. If you have a 4 pin connector, it's easy enough to patch in an additional connection to the wire leading to your reverse light in the tail light assembly. In a pinch, a piece of 2X4 can be placed under the tongue to pr...

What kind of brakes does the trailer have? Most trailers around here have surge brakes, no plug required.

OD, the specks are pretty good right now, I managed a few off the Flint side last week. It'll get even better as the temp drops and the water clears.

BH, private ponds. Those with natural cover get the edges planted with corn which is the flooded after it makes. Those without cover get corn, millet and egyptian wheat planted then flooded. The egyptian wheat can grow upwards to 10' tall which provides cover for the hunters as well as the ducks. TK...

TC, they've been doing pretty well over at Spring Creek with the water being a little clearer there. I just hit the stumps and ledges just south of Jack's.

Lake Seminole 12-01-04

Finally got free after lunch, headed to Chattahoochee, FL. Plan was to put in below the dam to look for hybrids/stripers. Well the river was up about 12' due to the gates being open from all the rain. The road to where the ramp should be was completely under water with the dock about 40 yards from t...

Just trying out a new area. Too windy offshore, river's too muddy, too many guns at the lake. Might try bouncing a pearl jig off the bottom and see if a hybrid or stiper will oblige

Thanks, TC. I've never been through the lock, always get claustraphobic just looking at it. Might try the hwy 90 ramp below the dam. It's usually busy with jet skis when I go by, but maybe the cooler weather will thin them out a little.
