Lake Talquin Lots of bass, perch and panfish are being caught on Lake Talquin, and the good fishing should continue as long as the weather holds steady. The best fishing for all species seems to be late afternoon on into dark. Speckled perch have moved into 16- to 18-foot depths where you can anchor...

Apalachee Bay The fishing has slowed a little for trout and mackerel and both species have been scattered on the flats. Both live shrimp and aritificials are catching some fish. Some top-water is being used along with bubble-gum or pearl-colored Sur-Ketch jigs. Grouper are being caught in 18 feet of...

They could do a better job in that respect. Like a CSB to Steinhatchee zone. Overall, I really wasn't all that impressed. Probably 'cause 95% was off-shore. Probably was of some interest to those guys watching. They showed the same snapper video over and over, though. Oh well. Can't please everyone....

Left out from the lighthouse a little after noon. Met Tom and Chalk briefly at the ramp. They didn't have a whole lot to say as they were busy exchanging addresses with their new pen pal. Fished again just south of the lighthouse. Nothing spectacular. A few keeper trout and regular dose of la...

Where are the clearest waters close-in at the coast around here? Saw spots around bars on the north side of Dog Island a few weeks back....
Thanks.
