Went with wife last sunday to Aucilla and had no luck-her first time and just fished a little, but she got the bug. Wanted to go this weekend but looking at 2-3 kept me at home. Thanks for the posting and looking forward to getting back down!
2-3' is usually fine if wind not over 15knots. Also ...

Sounds like a good time. Glad yall did well. Spanish and blues should be there I think you probably would need to be in 5-7' to get them though. Yeah the ramp is a PITA. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to pics.

I've always use Uniden mounted radios with no problems on the flats. On a flats boat I would recommend a rail mount 3' Shakespeare 5241-R Whip 3dB VHF Marine Antenna with a swivel rail mount. And mount it high on the rail beside windshield(gets you about 8' off floor of boat), can be folded down to ...
