New Boat Advice

Hey Guys and Gals, I recently tripped and feel into a heck of a deal in the form of a 18’ 2006 Carrera Flats Boat with Mercury 135 Opti Max, Garmin 178, VHF. I would greatly appreciate some advice on rigging. 1. Jack Plate? If so what brand is most reliable? 2. Bow Mount Trolling Motor. What Trust...

Glutton for Punishment……9/24/04Lanark

As I stated a few weeks ago on my introduction to the inshore board I planned to stay close to shore and leave the offshore punishment to others. Well I never listen to that guiding voice of wisdom in my head. Therefore Friday I decided to head off shore with a buddy of mine. We started early out of...

Aucilla, No I did not tint it myself I bought it in the Keys. I saw your post about shrimping in the mornings, and I plan to give this a try. I also have a friend that lives in the water in Lanark and he has been catching tons of mullet off his dock every afternoon. He also said that the shrimpboats...

When I put out the lady chum I was standing on a oyster bar. I use a 8' Bait net "TINTED BLUE" I feel that the color of the net is very important a white net seems to scare the bait because I feel it looks like the underside of some preditory birds.

Unfortunatly no pics I need to get a cheap digital camera for the boat. I never go in the woods with out my video camera and have some great footage, but am alittle hesitant taking it to the coast.

Next time I cant find a fishing partner for the day I will post on the board.

St. Marks East Sat. 9/18

Wow what a day of fishing it was.. It started out at 6am as most fishing trips do. I left the house and got a few miles away and realized I had left my new anchor rope at home, So I turned around and swung back through the drive way and was pleased to see I had also left my four fishing rods leaning...
