response to a really old post

I formerly used 'nolester' on Warchant until someone pointed out that with one change of letters it becomes 'molester'.

Checked out the trailer a little more closely. It measures 20 feet lengthwise, maybe a little more. It easily holds a bulky 17 foot boat which sits on two rows of double-wheeled rollers. Not sure of hitch size. Needs new tires but in fair to good shape overall. Galvanized. No clue whether the lights...

I will measure it out tonight - its pretty big with two full sized tires. An old 17 foot big-bowed inboard searay easily sits on it, at least for now. Galvanized.

Do me a Favor

I have got some misc. hardware and some nice lay-down seats from an extra boat in the yard. Once I strip down and get rid of the hull will have a trailer available. Willing to trade or sell cheap. Located on north side of Tallahassee. PM if interested.

You win my respect and admiration. My biggest heartburn is making that drive down to the shop in Perry, twice. Next time I completely check out the connections.

How do I post an avatar?

I hope this is not too dumb a question. I would like to add a picture but am getting a message that it is too big. Is there a way to reduce the data-size of photos?

Thanks.

After hearing from Wevans so many times my buddies and I have made a few runs to the Bottoms area and its been real productive. Its very different than St. Marks and Spring Creek: instead of fishing the edges of oyster bars we have been learning to work the cuts and dropoffs along the sand bars. And...

I have launched there twice with my 13' Whaler and learned the ramp can be treacherous due to strong cross currents and a shallow incline. St. Vincent Sound is very nice - caught some excellent reds up along the north shore of the island heading into the narrow bay. Landing on St. Vincent Island was...

Good choice to settle on a hill. The storm surge atlas shows the following heights at the 319 bridge over the Ochlockonee:

Tropical Storm - 5.1 (feet above NVGD)
Category 1 - 6.3
Category 2 - 13.3
Category 3 - 18.7
Category 4 - 23.2
Category 5 - 27.3

Last year I repainted my boat bottom and my advisors recommended red since it would be less visible to the fish. Well I went with blue since that was the existing color and it seemed easier. Any thoughts on the best color for bottom paint?

Hey - you're up early today Wevans! Our friend eat_mo_crawfish (AKA the big Cajun) is having a life changing experience. His parents house in New Orleans was submerged. Along with an elderly uncle they cut through the roof and were rescued. Through incredibly good luck they were able to get word to ...
