Biggest Fish I Have Every Seen!

Humpback Whales we saw yesterday while on a 'whale watch' cruise out of Boston. Truely amazing. http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pictureprocessor/images/IMG_0068_1.jpg http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pictureprocessor/images/IMG_0067_5.jpg http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pictureprocesso...

Must be a thrill to have a new boat! With all of the oyster bars, rocks and ghost traps you can count on dings and gouges so don't let the apprehension hold you back.

My garage is fu ll of stuff so the car and truck and in the driveway and my 13' whaler is in the side yard with a 12' by 16' wal-mart tarp over the top with the self-elevated steering console as a brace. Works fine.

The actual name is Gum Road but at this point Stink Road is more accurate. There is a garbage transfer station there where domestic waste is consolidated and sent in bigger trucks to a landfill in Jackson County.
When it was first approved a few years ago neighbors litigated to no avail.

Two or three summers ago eat-mo and me were not far off of Oyster Bay when some big thunderstorms blew-up. We tried to run but eventually had to turn perpendicularly into a curtain of rain where we were hit by heavy wind and waves and lighting. We quickly lost our sense of orientation and in the pou...

Rocks by Stoney Bayou

Found some time to play with Google Earth - now can slide in better images and draw shapes around GPS'd rocks. Entrance to Stoney is on left, Palmetto Island in back.

I've got a $199 Garmin GPS 76 which works great. But it would be much better to have a unit with color mapping so I am waiting for the prices to get to where I justify something nice for use in both boat and car. For a $20 fee you can subscribe to Google Earth Plus which allows downloading and mappi...

Apalachee Bay 5.28.06

Finally went boating and fishing yesterday after too many weeks of work work work. Definitely over did it; ended up with 40 miles and a sunburn. 5 trout near the old Duck Blind, 2 strong break-offs by Bottoms, 2 more trout on the West Flats toward the Bird Rack, and finished the fishing with 4 reds ...
