Re: Ole Stumpnocker

Had one of those back in 80's. Caught a lot of fish between Aucilla and Spring Warrior out of it. Little boat took some pretty good water too which was good as I dont remember it having too much floatation in it. :o

Don't post much anymore as I don't fish much anymore either. Health and age has just about shut me down me but thought I'd pass this on for general information . Went to St George last week and met an old business associate and his family who were down for the week. I didn't fish but they did nearly...

Re: A different kind of trout fishing for once

I’ve caught more trout on the Norfolk than any place I’ve ever fished. The white would run a close second. I was wading the white one morning and had a heart attack several years back. Haven’t been back since. In Arkansas, San Juan Worms and Green Butt Soft Hackles always worked best for me. Early i...

Re: A different kind of trout fishing for once

Grandson and I have been fishing the Soque for several years. He always fishes with the guide and catches the big ones . Couple years ago he caught one that guide said would weigh ten pounds plus.Must have fought the fish 20 minutes or so. I always fish a quiet pool as I’ve gotten too old to try to ...

Fished bayside of the cut this past weekend. Rat reds were all over the place. So were the sharks and catfish.

I had one 7-8 ft long come right up to the boat several years ago. During slack tide between Gray Mare and Cobb Rocks.. Made my 20' boat seem kinda small too.

Re: Who's going tommorrow?

Fished St Marks Tuesday afternoon and Wed. Nothing but Spanish Tue but three of us limited out Wed with about as good a box of fish as I've seen in a long time. Friend went back yesterday with his grandson and they limited by 10:30. Flats have definitely turned on. Noticed the pecan trees had starte...

Re: Tractor Gun & 4WD Vehicle Questions

Savage or Stevens used to make an over and under, model 24. They made some in. 30/30 over 20 gauge with about a 24" barrel. A 30/30 with a 24" barrel is plenty of gun for a close range hog and the 20 gauge is all you need for a moccasin. I'm not sure they still make this combination but se...

Re: Triton Aluminum Boats

I had a 2070 that I sold earlier in the year. Hated to let it go but my physical condition has just about stopped me from doing much of anything. That being said, it served me well. Had a 115 optimax on it which was the best motor I ever owned. Power pole, all electronics ect. Great for fishing Ston...

Re: Asking for Prayers

I have a friend whose grandson went through a similar situation. He was about four when they found a large tumor in his abdomen. After surgery and extended treatment he seems healthy as can be be. Will be keeping her in my prayers. Need to keep this post open so as many as possible will see it. Neve...
