St.George Sound 7/26

At Last a good day of fishing to report. Calm Seas (aka sharkbait) and I started out behind Dog Island at daylight. I picked up my first trout over 20" then the winds forced us back to the mainland. Picked up eight more keepers there and one more behind StGeorge before we put the first short in...

You might want to go to marinefisheries.org. Thier numbers are pretty close but I almost always have to circle around a time or two, then edit the number once I'm on it.
Like EJ said, it's a numbers game :P

Good question, have you ever posed the question to the guys at the Moorings? There is a Grady White dealer right there (maybe the same people), they should know. Most people I know with trailer brakes just let them fail and then drive a large enough truck to stop the boat :P . I never thought about ...

I fished StMarks Sat. with a neighbor. The bite was slow for us as well. We ended up with three keepers, one from 6' near rock garden and two from 7' near light house. No real patern or preference to colors or style but all we caught were on jigs. Some with c/t, most without. Too much grass to try t...

Public boat ramp in the Eastpoint area?

I've put in at Carabelle and on St George but I would like to know if there is a ramp I could use in or near Eastpoint. I've got a 19' Sailfish and a 4wd if needed.

I'm greatful for any info,

Joel

The dark colored DOA shrimp has been VERY productive for me, but I have yet to boat a keeper on one :cry: . I've caught a ton of shorts on it but I'll keep trying.

Hey CS, I've got a Magic Trail trailer that came with my Sailfish and the tires did the same thing. They wore real bad on the inside. I tried running higher air preasure and that didn't help. I've replaced the tires and have not seen the same problem yet and I have more than enough miles on it. Mayb...

"phychotic" :P
Calm Seas you said that right. Walking around with the sharks and stingrays gives me the willies. But fella's I saw that trout and that was one big speck!

Hey Alan, if NOAA is wrong do you want to go Saturday? I heard the picnic has been cancelled.

Thanks for the info. This is a Yamaha Motor Company waranty that I have been offered but I have also received several "third party" waranty offers.
I need to make up my mind soon but it's hard to turn loose of that kind of money.

OK so I'm not crazy :roll: , SW is crap. The PowerPro I put on looks like a 10 lb rope. I hope the fish like it, I'll try it Friday if I can sneak away from work early.

Spider Line

:( Is it just me or has anyone else had problems with this product? I just respooled two of my reels with PowerPro, it cost more but it has got to be better. I've been breaking off alot and if this doesn't work I'll go back to mono.
