Thanks CS but I think I like ST99's idea. I keep a rod set up with either top water or a suspended lure. I'll try to remember to throw it next time  .

If you ever get a GPS you will be disappointed by the speed. 35 mph can feel like 50 on the water :o , but ain't it great when your boat runs like it should 8) .

ST99, Why haven't you tried them? If they catch alot of grass it would be a pain, but if they catch one cobe that would be great. It's happened to me twice in two years.

NOAA was wrong again, a beautiful day on the water even if the bite was slow. My pardner caught a pompano in 6' South of the rock garden and we managed a few rock bass but the only keeper trout were caught on the West flats. No action on top water at all  , c/t with s/a tipped with shrimp or fi...

Thanks Beerfish, I hope to try it Thursday depending on the weather. I'm not feeling so good, some salt water therapy might help.

Beerfish, you said all were caught on live bait. Was it shrimp, pinfish or something else, also did you try any artificials? :o

Tod, we need to hook up. My son has three more weekends of baseball then I'll have my Saturdays back. I'll try to slip in a fishing trip during the week sometimes but it's kind of a last minute thing if I get to go. You can e-mail me (JFoy@aol.com) or we can get together in a couple of weeks.

Hey Tod, good report. I've fished St George some but mainly the back side of Dog Island. I don't get down that way much but I like that area. I knew a Tod Browning when I was growing up, would you be him?

Yamaha Extended Service

The warranty on my '00 150 VMax is about to run out. Is it worth it to buy three more years of coverage for $1,503.93? I know it's my money but I'm just curious what ya'll think.

All of the above baits will work but if you're having trouble finding the little fishies, try chumming with a can of cat food. Works every time. 8)

Had a auditor cancel his appointment with me for Fri so I went fishing. Kind of a slow day but still better than work. I tried a top water plug first and caught two 19" blue fish on the first cast, one on each hook. That was all the top water action I saw. Trout and lady fish liked live shrimp ...

Fish 'em both ways. Whatever starts catching fish first, stick with it. Even if I am fishing on bottom I will let a CT trail behind the boat.

I fillet, and skin 'um if I'm frying. If their going on the grill it's skin on.
I also cut the ribcage out, I have kids and Mom doesn't like little bones. You know the saying " if mom's happy...".
