New Ochlockonee Bay Chart
I'm sure some of you have already seen this, but it was new to me. A really clear, detailed fishing chart (waterproof) of the Ochlock Bay area. Saw it at West Marine today. http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pictureprocessor/images/OcklockChart%20red3541.jpg Just to give you an idea of the quality...

No problem--you always take the flippers out when hauling out for the day and transporting, and put them back in when you get out in a couple of feet of water. They are completely separate from the yak. It takes about 30 seconds to remove them and about 30 seconds to re-install them. Couldn't be sim...

Now that's a new one--that the pedals make it hard to paddle! No truth to that at all, and I wonder where that came from. It paddles fine, with or without the Mirage drive. But once you have the drive installed (takes about 30 seconds) there is not much reason to paddle, although you can do both if ...

The one in the pic above is the Hobie Outback fishing yak, and you can paddle, pedal, or sail these babies. Hobie has what they call a Mirage drive that is basically a pair of flippers that you operate with your feet. Makes for hands-free casting, trolling and fighting. These come with a rudder, goo...

Re: kayak fishing
Hey Red, Sitting upright in a canoe kills my back also, and like you say they can be a b**** to paddle, especially in a wind since the hull acts like a sail. However, I can sit for 3-4 hours in my SOT yak that came with a stock seat with good back support, and not notice a problem. Also the low free...

KA, To tell you the truth, my Outback is pretty stable even without outriggers. I got started on that project just because it seemed like a cool idea and I like to tinker. However, after getting them installed, a couple of times when I swung around in my seat suddenly to get into my ice chest and wa...

Seems to be OK except that every picture you post thru them has their name attached to each pic once you put it on the Web. Kind of annoying. I have ben using another one that I like pretty well, the Fishing and Hunting Forum Picture Processor: http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pictureprocessor/d...

Yeah--Littoral and I were trying to figure out how Sams could sell a bag like this for so little money. Since they stock these bags behind the frozen food lockers, we decided they probably sell them at cost so as to encourage folks (some of whom come in from out of town) to stock up on frozen goodie...

Kayaking/Wade-Fishing Footwear
I have found a great pair of paddling/pedaling/wading footwear for any place where you might find loose sand or fine shell substrates. This would include any of the Atlantic Coast beaches, as well as just about any open coast beach in the Florida Gulf. This footwear goes by several different names, ...
