Great D.O.A. Lure Site
For any other D.O.A. lure fans, here is a great site with any and all lures, colors, kits, etc. covering just about all the bases. Billy Miller put me onto this site and I thought that it was good enough that some of the rest of you might be interested. Thanks, Billy! Also it is a Florida site--gott...

Malibu Yaks
Hey Litt,
You might want to check out the Malibu Forum over on KFS. Lots of good info there, as well as comparisons of the Extreme with other Malibu yaks. Also species-specific info on most other top yak brands.

Kayak Loading Bar
Loading a kayak on a tall vehicle such as a SUV can be a chore and often requires a small footstool or ladder of some sort to avoid throwing your back or shoulder out. A big help in loading is the bar extender system that both Thule and Yakima market. Thule calls theirs an "Outrigger Lift Assis...

Sure hope to make the Social--got a conflict with a Boy Scout leader campout that weekend. Once a year a bunch of the former (and current) Troop 44 scoutmasters and any of the guys still in the area get together for a reunion at Three Rivers. I think it must be about 10-11 years now that our kids ha...

Hook Keepers
Don't know about you folks, but it always bugs me to buy what I consider to be a fairly nice rod only to find there is no hook keeper loop near the butt to keep my plug or hook from flying about my vehicle, boat, or yak while underway. However, there is a simple (and cheap!) solution to this problem...

Yeah g--it's hard to believe they can sell a bag of this quality for that kind of money! I have seen similar bags going for $70-100 bucks on the Web--sure hope they have a lot more going for them than these bags do for that kind of money, although I don't know what that might be. Maybe genuine Siber...

Insulated Fish Bags
For some time now I have been looking for a fish bag that is well made and large enough to handle a 24" or longer fish (may as well dream while I’m at it!). There are some good bags out there, but most of them are way too pricey for my needs. I had heard of the bags sold by Sam’s Club, but ...

Leash It or Lose It
There are two basic materials for gear leashes that I have found to work well: old coiled cell phone charger cords (including even110V coiled appliance cords) and good old nylon parachute-type cord. 1. Let's start with the coiled cell phone charger cords. I use these mainly as my rod leashes. Any ty...
