Re: Hagens Cove in high water

I forgot to add that the scalloping is normally not any good on years when it rains like this.

Re: Hagens Cove in high water

I have been catching reds up along the sawgrass lines all year this year. I would tell you 2 things - The reds I have caught are mostly 23 - 24 inches (Not the size we've seen in the past). Also, clean water seems to be key. We've had so much rain and wind that everything from Steinhatchee to St. Ge...

Re: FWC Training

They said they were looking for some fish poacher that went by the nickname SquiffyNole". The reward was only $100 so I didn't turn you in. :-D

Re: Storing rods while trailering?

I have had issues with every type of rod storage. I used to just use the vertical rod holders down each side of my console, but I live down a rural road in the Monticello area so sometimes I would snag a tree limb along the way. Especially if it had been raining and the limbs were sagging lower than...

Re: econfina report??? I suck please help

Jay -
Those flounder never got frozen. They went from the fishing cooler to the grease and were some of the best I've had.

If it weren't for having to prefish the upcoming NFGFC Tournament out of Rock Landing I would be headed back to the same spot for more.

Re: econfina report??? I suck please help

As the weather changes and the fishing pressure grows up here the fish can move daily. I fished Saturday out of Econfina starting off shore a ways in a downpour looking for Cobia. Found some sea bass out there that would keep and one Spanish Makerel, but no cobia. Headed in to 6 feet of water and ca...

Re: April 8 2023 Steinhatchee Tournament Results

I went in to the Steinhatchee Bait and Tackle store that hosted our weigh-in and was impressed with the tackle selection they had for such a small store. Met the owners who were both very nice and spent a little money with them.

Found Fly Fishing Equipment

One of my Survey Crew employees found some fly fishing equipment in the area of Tom Brown Park recently. If one of you can call me and describe it I will get it to you.

Re: March 4th 2023 Tournament Results

I have a quick question for you guys -

I showed up at weigh in and the Chick Fil A truck was there so I got a couple sandwiches and drinks. It seemed like the truck quickly left prior to most of the anglers showing up. Did they leave early or did you guys get something to eat?

Public Service Announcement - Walmart Fishing Licenses

Slayer's post in the Area Fishing Reports Section reminded me to post this - My buddy June and I fished out of Spring Warrior last Saturday and got checked by a Game Warden when we came back to the ramp in the afternoon. June purchased a fishing license from Walmart about 2 weeks ago, but when she r...

Re: Keaton/Spring Warrior??

You're not going to get a lot of specific advice this week because the NFGFC Tournament is out of Keaton Beach this Saturday and nobody wants to tell their secrets. I will tell you I fished from North of Spring Warrior down to Keaton Beach last Saturday morning and caught a lot of good fish. They ha...

Thank you for the replies. I went with AT & T for the new sim card and may switch my cell service over. We will see how well the gps equipment works.
