I do know this little trick that'll gurrantee you'll catch more fish: just pull that little plug out of the transom once you anchor up...it'll put your boat rig...

St Marks 11/11

In at the LH at 8:30 with dad and headed to the East River to mess around with some shrimp and cut bait. We're both new at using bait, but figured it was worth a shot. We found a deep hole and brought up several small black seabass, some pesky pinfish, a pufferfish and a red. Enjoyed the assortment,...

Glad you figured out the switch...our work boat does that....you just have to keep your finger on it or it'll stick in a position.

I remember the hurricane years ago that wiped out the grass on the Wakulla. It used to be thick - all up and down the river and after the saltwater intrusion, it was almost all gone. May try using some real shrimp sometime, just to see what comes up....sounds like a pretty neat variety. Did all that come off of the wreck right there at the channel?

Wacissa River 10/22

Easy morning and part of the afternoon on the river. Not many folks out at all - I think the low water levels help to keep some of the boat traffic down. The ramp was in kinda skinny water for my boat, but I did see a bigger boat running up and down. Not sure if they launched or lived local. Water w...
