thanks fellas - If I could have one freshwater lure it would have to be a floating rapala. If you've got one of those on the line, as far as I'm concerned, you're already have way there. It's not a sure thing - but it's a pretty good lure. Unless of course they want a sluggo worm or a beet...

St. Marks River - Newport 10/2

Buddy Chris and I launched at Newport around 2:30 and went upriver straight into a thunderstorm. Got drenched for about 15 minutes and then it cleared up. Fished only above the bridge and brought in 3 bass and two nice little bream. All caught on a floating rapala. Fished for a few hours before crui...

Never tried it - but I like the idea. Sometimes it takes forever to get the fish off trebles.

Unlees it's a hurricane - or radar shows showers - i've slowly learned not to trust the NOAA marine forecasts.

Otherwise I'd probably only go on half of the trips I take down at the LH.

There's no fish in there. :-D

Stay off my river ;-)

Do a search for Wacissa posts on the Freshwater Forum on this site and you'll find some good info.

Charles, is there anywhere to launch a small boat or kayak up Shepherd Spring Creek. On my topo map program it has a road pretty much dead ending at the creek about 1/2 mile up from where it hits West Goose Creek. Just wonderng if this could possibly be another good kayak launching spot. Gas is too...

St Marks 9/25

Put in at the LH at 2:30 and caught the last 30 minutes of the Low tide. The action was pretty hot for 20 minutes - with lots of strikes and fish activity. Landed a decent trout and a ladyfish on a propellor / floating mirrolure. The ladyfish jumped at least half a dozen times. :D Once 3:00 came aro...
