Re: Upcoming Scallop Season
No issues. Good discussion. Went out a couple weeks ago and laid out the trap for the first time. Disappointed in results - maybe it wasn't my poor positioning of the trap like I thought.

Upcoming Scallop Season
Is it too soon to ask if there are any reports on scallops in the Keaton Beach, St. Mark's area? Trying to coordinate a trip with my kids/granddaughter and wondering if anyone has/is spotting any scallops in the BB area?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Pin Fish Traps
Thanks all for your input.
BMAN,
I'd be happy to take a trap off your hands if you have an extra you don't mind parting with it. I'm in no hurry - give me a shout if you are able to locate an extra one and let me know what you want for it.

Pin Fish Traps
Thinking about getting me a pin fish trap for inshore fishing and was wondering if there are any favorites you might want to share (brand, size, model, etc..).
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: EPIC Poem - "Dear Auburn"
There's always some great material after a big game like this. One of the best National Championship games ever, in my opinion. Two great, well-coached teams; well fought game; best team won.

Re: Saturday
I got lucky and got invited dove hunting near Bainbridge. Man it was cloudy and very windy! It was supposed to get up to almost 80 but it felt like the mid to low 60's all afternoon on the open peanut field. It seemed to mess up the birds too but we got a few and had a blast. I haven't been dove hu...

I was wondering if you went FRP. I'm glad I went - not so much for the amount of fish - more so because I haven't been out in a while. It was good to be on the water.Flint River Pirate wrote:Glad you went Ron. I wish I had gone.

Thanks for the pic Culrich. I'm going back and forth on it. They are saying 4-6 now. Ugh! Having the same go/no-go discussion with myself. :-? Go, Go, Go!!!!! Well, we went. Launched about 11:00 at Shield's to a pretty stiff wind. Decided to stay in the river and fish the oyster bars. First stop pr...

Re: Saturday
Yep. Been looking forward all week to tomorrow and been worried about the winds. I think the last time I checked NOAA is calling for 15-20 with rough seas and choppy inshore. Not what I was hoping for.

Re: Mono Vs. Flouro Carbon
Thanks all. Quick follow on. Does the mono backing help with reducing loose braid and bird's nest?

Mono Vs. Flouro Carbon
Getting ready to tie on some new line and have both mono and flouro for leaders. Have never used flouro before and was wanted to get some thoughts on which to use. Thanks in advance.
