I've always had a liking for Cape Horn, may be because they are built 45 minutes from my hometown though. I've heard lots of good things about the Cape Horn's and even more good things about their newer models. Twin-V seems to have a good reputation also though, and I like the cat inshore models. Na...

Guess I'm looking for similar information. Need some spots from St.Marks to Carrabelle or so to fish from shore. Haven't brought my kayak over to Tallahassee yet or I'd just head to Carrabelle or Apalachicola. Getting tired of studying and think some fishing is in order for this weekend. Haven't bee...

Take a look at Sea Ark and Duracraft also, they make some nice aluminum inshore rigs.

Stainless steel rusts because it contains carbon. The more carbon in a steel the less stainless it is, but the less carbon there is in a steel the weaker it is also. That is why a knife made out of high carbon steel holds an edge longer and is stronger than stainless knives.

How does $125 sound to someone? I have to get this rod out of my room, but can't go any lower than $125.

Guess my dad thinks 48hp is too big for our boat. He doesn't seem to be interested in a trade. Sorry.

Ours doesn't have trim or anything either. We don't want one with trim. It is on a 16' Basstracker that we use for river and inshore fishing. The boat is stick steering and rated for 40hp, but they put 65hp on the same hull with a console. I don't think a 48hp would be too much for our boat for sure...

Does yours have electric start and remote steering? We have an '89 25 hp Rude in great shape that we would like to upgrade. We were looking for a 40hp, but a 48 would work if it isn't much heavier.

I've lived in Crestview for the majority of my life. I'm the type that knows basically everybody in Crestview from one event or another. Chances are pretty good that I know your wife's family if they've been here for a few years. I'm always open for fishing trips. Looking forward to fishing the Big ...

I'll be honest and say that I haven't built but a few light spiral wrap rods. One of them is my own and I like it. It is a 6'6" Lamiglass composite blank rated for up to about 12# line. I have a Curado 200B5 on it with 10# mono and love it. I mostly use it fishing jigs for trout and flounder an...

Custom Spiral Wrap Snapper Rod *SOLD*

I have a 6'6" custom spiral wrapped rod for sale. It would be a great rod for snapper or grouper fishing with 40 or 50# line. It is practically brand new. I fished it once to try the blank out and it is a sure fire fish catcher. Wrap colors are black and gold. It is made on an All Star composit...

I got mine in a few days ago, but haven't gotten to fish it either. It appears to be a nice reel for the money, but there's one or two things that concern me. I don't like the plastic handle nut, and I don't like the way the drag adjustment knob screws onto the spool shaft. These are just personal p...
