Bobcats get pretty big. They look big for their weight also.

Re: Gator Tail on a flats hull?
Yep, it's an IPB 16. I talked to them about building me a hull for my mud motor, but decided against fiberglass. Glad I did. The places I've already gone would have eaten that hull up.

Re: Boat speed advice
Definitely slow. An 18-19' flats boat with a 200 should be doing minimum 55-60. My heavy 20' bayboat will run ~50 with a 175 Johnson. I run a Silverking Grande Master, which is a heavy 19' flats boat with a 175 V-Max, pretty regularly. Without jackplate it will run ~57. I've heard of people running ...

Re: WTB Mustang inflatable life vest
If you are going to be wearing it everyday this is the one I recommend. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_97395_225017002_225000000_225017000_225-17-2 Not cheap, but more comfortable than others. Revere makes some good stuff also. I was just issued a new Revere ...

Re: Jet Drive Kayak
I'm not knocking it, everyone has their thing. I'm just pointing out the downside to it and saying it's not my thing. Yes it does need to be registered and titled. If you use it before sunrise or after dark you need navigation lights also. All you need for a kayak is a wearable life jacket, whistle,...

The tag bracket law is the same here in Florida. You can't have any part of your plate obscured from view. It isn't something that is enforced very regularly, but it is a law.

Re: Jet Drive Kayak
Then comes registration, fuel, engine maintenance, battery charging(if electric start), and everything else associated with owning a boat. Might as well buy a boat. Probably cheaper in the long run. The joy of kayak fishing is the simplicity and solitude. No noise, no engine maintenance, no registra...

Re: Less than 2 weeks till Duck Season.
Going to pick up my new kayak today. Bought a case of Black Cloud before early teal. Been going and shooting trap once a week or so for the last month with my new Beretta Urika. Re-rigged all of my decoys with stretchy cords and hook style anchors. I'm nearly ready to go.

Re: Cajun Anchor
I have a 5.5' Stick It that I use with my kayak. It works great. I would recommend getting the 8' one for use with a boat. Even on hard bottom it slides in between the rocks and shells. I tried using PVC and it didn't work very well. The diameter was too large and too hard to shove into the ground. ...

Re: boat registration
You might have to "adjust the facts" and tell them it is home made. It is going to be a lot easier to ask about registering a home made boat than one that has no ID #. Titling and registering a boat this way is title fraud. You could have your boat seized and be facing criminal charges. G...

Re: Camper Full of Pepper Spray
Only way is with conventional cleaning techniques(wet rag). Wait for the pepper to settle to the ground. As you move in the camper it will stir it up though. It will burn for a little while, but won't physically hurt you.

Glad to hear he made it. That's one good looking dog and sounds like he's a very important member of the family. I've always heard that you should use a raised water bowl with lab breeds to help prevent this. If they have to bend down too far to drink it can cause problems. I'm no expert, but that's...
