Re: SGI Surf?
Sounds like a good time. I went Saturday 5/5. Got there too late to get a pass for east end but had a good time at one of those 'pull over' spots. Saw good water to the right of a runout but it was taken so I fished 100 yards to the left of him. Pomps and whiting for the man to the right. Ladies ...

Re: Pompano eating
I have frozen them too. I always freeze my fish in salted water. Even fresh water fish. Never had freezer burn.
There is a strip of head meat that extends over the eyes, toward the mouth. Best meat on the fish.

Re: SGI info
I usually fish around the 4th pull over spot. I always make sure to fish near a break in the sand bar.
With only a few swimmers in the water this time of year you might try either pavillion. Both produce fish. With family in tow you might need thier facilites for the children.

The wife is dragging my tail down to PC this weekend. Staying at the SandPiper. Might get to fish some Sunday or Monday morning. Anybody know about the surf fishing near there? Thanks.

Hope you weren't practicing catch and release with that pear limb. Best wood I've found yet for smoking fish.

Mexico Beach
This weekend was our 12 year anniversary so the wife and I headed to Mexico Beach for some quality time. I packed the surf rods of course and even found time to use them. It was very very slow fishing. I only got one hit Saturday and nothing Sunday. At least the one hit was 15" to the fork. Fellow ...

Re: Goose Hunting in Virginia VS Redfishing Encofina
Just be careful out there. Some guys down this way have carried home some bird shot the hard way. They are pretty sure it was intentional. One guy even gave a description of the suspect to a police sketch artist and he came up with a drawing. I think I can post it. Be on the look out for this ...

Went to Seminole on a family get away this weekend for a little fishing, family time and good eating.
Didn't spend a lot of time on the water but the bass were hitting pretty good. Went out with my BIL. Lots of 12" plus small ones plus some larger. Biggest was a 5 pounder. Black wacky worm with a ...

Re: St. Joe State Park
Way to go. You did much better than did I at St George. Nothing but ladies.
We also had a deserted beach on Friday. Just me and the wife. Had to share it with 2 others Saturday. St Joe is next.
