Water is warming up fast this year--- we got into ladyfish and bluefish our last trip.

Re: Interesting read on Mercury levels in fish going up agai

A Grad student at FSU is working on a complete study... but short story the mercury is concentrated in the dark meat around the lateral line of a fish. Does cutting it out eliminate the mercury from the fish - NO. does it reduce the mercury and ot...

Panacea trout
Went back to my old well for some trouts... the water is still cold but the ladyfish and bluefish are here?!?!?!! And lots of trout. All but a couple on gulp under corks. A few on top water but the lady’s would not leave us alone. 3-4 feet of water on a falling tide was the ticket. 309D40A1-F71F-42B...

I tried to point them out to you, but you couldn’t hear me. It was a beautiful day and we picked up an excellent fish dinner also. Crap the girls would hav...

First, My apology for being absent lately... work and young kids have kept me off the forum as much as I used to be. I don’t like some of the tone I’ve been seeing. This place has always been fun but civil. And family friendly. Please email or message me when you see something that does not look rig...

Ill do better I looked at all this Friday... thought a lot about it. CSMarine has given a ton to this forum. Post knowledge and experience that can’t be paid back His departure is a loss. I’m really frustrated by this. I know it’s “fun” to tease folks that you know. But think before you kick someon...

Re: dunking reels?
I take my combos into the shower and use a warm gentle shower to rinse. Let 'em sit for a few minutes to dissolve the salt and then gentle rinse again. Back the drag washers completely off afterwards and let dry overnight. Haven't had any issues with reels using this routine. Is there an appropriat...

Re: Did anyone go
I may put you both in Time out!
I went - it was rough. We caught our snapper and a lot of short grouper.
live and cut bait both worked well. Cooked snapper cheeks for dinner the next night.
Grilled throats the night after that
