miccosukee bluegill?

I've seen people caught big ones. They were said to be plenty in this lake. I tried cricket/worms under cork, worms on the bot...

water in gear case oil
I found there was some water in the gear case oil when I was changing the oil the other day. It's a 97 Mercury 9.9hp. Do I need to have it checked asap? Any place to recommend? (I am in Tallahassee) How much is the estimate around? I do appreciate any advice/comments.
thanks a lot.

Thanks for the advice. This sounds like a good solution.wevans wrote:2 gals can just be poured into your vehical, just make sure you have around 3/4 of a tank to mix it with "it don't matter if it has oil in it, with that small amount"

where to dump old fuel?
The fuel has been in the tank for quite a while and I am thinking to dump it and refill the tank with some fresh fuel. Where should I go to dump it? thanks.

install safety lanyard
My 98 mercury 9.9 only has the button type kill switch on the tiller. I would like to add a safety lanyard to it but have no idea how to do it. Any one has the experience? Your comments/suggestions are appreciated.

Re: how to install a water separating filter?
Most of the separator's that I've seen have an indicator on the top that show the flow direction in ... out. It's pretty straight forward. Just place it somewhere that is easy to get to so when It's time to change the cartridge, you don't have to stand on your head. Thanks!  :thu...

Re: For the two gentlemen who saved me this afternoon
I think this might be the "rest of the story"...pulled it from the FS board. "A friend was supposed to show up at 6pm Sat evening to go bass fishing on the lake which would of put us actually fishing around 6:30 or so. He showed up at 5pm instead, cool I'm ready lets go!! Not that it...
