I can vouch for the guy's timliness, friendliness, fair prices and workmanship.

I took it to Porter's today. I waited because I was hoping to get in another weekend of fishing before some surgery. No other damage so it would have been OK for a trip. Between the weather and the job didn't get a chance. I'm going to spring for a rock guard. Hopefully me and the boat will be good ...

When they're fresh, I think the black sea bass are as good to eat as just about anything else you'll catch in these parts.

I used to run that shoreline on a high tide all the time when I had a smaller boat. Seems like you could run for a couple miles to the east without rocks.
