Re: Fishing this weekend Nov 21 -22 near St marks

I’m chasing other quarries this weekend. If I were inshore fishing out of st marks I would run to redfish point and head north to the shore. Any of the rocks at creek mouths or even a couple miles deep in the creeks will hold fish.

Just my .02. Do as your heart desires...

Exciting time for our region with so many tournaments coming up in 2021. If anyone has strong feelings about what the NFGFC tournaments will look like, I encourage you to raise your hand and take a leadership role. Now is the chance to speak up...

Re: NFGFC...

Good questions Chris. I have spoken with Jimmy, Steve and Chris in the last 48 hours. In all transparency, my objective was to understand whether there is a viable tournament scene in 2021, not to necessarily run a club or tournament series. That being said, I'm willing to help any or all of the org...

Re: NFGFC...

What is the status of the North Florida Redfish Series? Are any officers willing to stay on or is this a refresh year?

I've done lots of different sections of it but never the whole thing. What kind of boat would you be in?

Re: NFGFC...

Chris / Steve,

Let me know how the conversation goes. I'm happy to help if it makes sense and some other folks want to contribute as well. Any word from Jimmy, Chris or the other guys who have contributed previously?

Re: Seaark with gator tail vs jet drive

Don’t disagree with anything Steve said. He has owned a ton of boats and runs them to their strengths. I think I remember our encounter. I may have been with my father. Believe in my Xpress? Steve, why did you move away from a jet? Guessing more room/practicability for near shore? Or maybe grass. I ...

Re: Conditions at stump hole (Cape San Blas)

still open and accessible. Entrance to Barrier Dunes off Seacliff is flooded. Assume you know the SP was down to about 20 parking spots after Michael. No entry prior to 8:00 even if you're an annual pass holder. Presnells and the City Ramp were a circus as a result. Fishing was still pretty good pre...

Re: Seaark with gator tail vs jet drive

Chris is right. A well set up, light weight prop boat is the answer. I have a surface drive gator trax and would never run it in salt. I have a buddy with the same boat and he incurs the cost of replacing parts each year due to salt spray. I’ve fished the same area as Stinson for years. His jet driv...

Looks like you had fun. Nice to go straight from the boat, but sometime Ark and head to cooter stew. Their leatherback (AKA bacon cheeseburger) is the bee’s knees.
