Small patches of dense scallops. The vast majority of boats are finding very few/none. My boat found 3 scallops Saturday. Redfish are rampant….

Re: Are the good times really over?..
Agree seasonal closures could be helpful. Trout stacked in creeks during the winter are extremely vulnerable. I also wouldn’t have an issue if the limit was 3 vs 5. I have no desire to keep a trout under 15”…I don’t even like to target schoolies. Would love to see 17-20” with one over a 3 fish limit ...

Nice location you found there BC.
It’s that time of year, fish are everywhere. Chased cobia 2 weekends ago. Dog sat for my parents at CSB Memorial Day weekend. Trout, flounder and reds were abundant is SJB.

Re: Cape San Blas 9/16 - 9/21
The bay is awesome; like the Discovery channel. All your normal salt water patterns (topwater, popping cork, jerk baits and twitch baits) will produce. Try to find patches or broken bottom vs a carpet of grass. I don’t use live bait in the Bay, never found it necessary, but many guides do.

mine are locked in truck bed. 8' truck bed and cover are preferred. Otherwise, locked in my rod locker. Put coolers and other stuff in the boat. Protect the rods and reels!

Re: ST Marks NWR buying Flint Rock WMA?
Why is SMNWR so locked down? Other NWR like Merritt Island allow duck hunting. I know st marks has some deer quota hunts, but it seems like they could allow more access to sportmen….

Re: Can we talk Boats?
Lots of good options. Love my Ranger; have had miles back in creeks and 40 miles offshore. Buddy just bought the Blazer Bay hybrid and is loving it. Sounds like it would fit your bill. Had a good build experience.

Interested. If RedBeard doesn’t want it let me know. Would like to see how it fits and attaches to my bay boat.
quail
does anybody have some for sale near Tallahassee. Was planning to release 100-150 birds Saturday. For one reason or another logistics of a Saturday morning pick up are proving challenging.
