Econfina has 2 nice boat ramps, rocks are located on other bank across from boat ramp, so be careful.River mouth very shallow at low tide, pay special attention at this time. Rock Island is located about 6 or 7 miles East, fishing for Trout, etc. is pretty good in this area.On the way to Rock Island...

I fish exclusively out of Econfina. Can't seem to catch Redfish. Trout are no problem.I have been fishing out of Econfina for 3 years, and never caught a Redfish.I work the creek mouths, the bars, and still nothing. Should I fish East or West? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The landing is at the end of county road 14, off of highway 98. A couple of miles past the Aucilla River store. Can be difficult to get out at very low tide, like Sunday morning.
