Re: Happiness Is....

I disagree Jim - Happiness is an empty fly box (from the fish chewing em to shreds!)

Either way, good looking bugs

Re: Spoon Fly??

take a small strip of rabbit zonker and push the hook point through one end to create a "tail". The reds will kill it and it kind of keeps the spoon from spinning

Re: Sage 1600 series reel

My brother has one and loves it. I think, and I could be wrong, but it might be made by Lamson Another reel to look at would be the Lamson Konic. They are making it in an 8wt size now and it is a really cool reel. I bought one for my 5wt and I love it. It has the same drag as my Litespeed so I know ...

Re: Seeking Advise, Which 5, 6, or 7?

Get the 6wt. I just purchased a 6wt TFO TICR and put a 7wt line on it with a Battenkill LAIII reel. It throws like a dream My Loomis CC GLX 8wt likes an 8wt line. Over this way it seemed like red tide. You could smell the water just driving over the bridges. It was pretty bad. A couple of friends were surfing during that timeframe and one of them had trouble breathing because of the water. I stayed off the water as soon as the stink hit the bay. Other than it...

I think Andy is back in SC, but you can check if David or Gjuro are there. They can both put you on some fish. If they are in LA, you can try Alan Steele, if he's still fishing. He's at Blue Bay Outfitters.

My wife works with Elder Services over here on this side of the Panhandle. She just got back from Miami for a training for Elder Service/Care. It's a good cause that you are supporting. Again I wish I was closer to be able to help, even if for just donating prizes. I hope it goes very well and you g...
