take a small strip of rabbit zonker and push the hook point through one end to create a "tail". The reds will kill it and it kind of keeps the spoon from spinning

My brother has one and loves it. I think, and I could be wrong, but it might be made by Lamson Another reel to look at would be the Lamson Konic.
