Re: JUMBO Shrimp

I was in Steinhatchee on the 4th and talked with one of my Uncles that lives in Horseshoe Beach. He said they were catching them in the channel heading out of Horseshoe. He showed me a picture of a cooler full and the biggest ones looked to be 8-9 inches long.

I'll second the vote for Fusion. Longest lasting, best sounding marine radio I've ever had.

A great day in the woods

I wasn't able to spend much time in the woods during archery season but was looking forward to thinning the doe population with the muzzleloader this morning. As does number 12, 13 & 14 walked out at about 7:20 this morning, thunder was made and a healthy 125# slick head made the ride back to th...

Re: 100's to 1000's of sqmi of dead, barren bottom

My dad has a place and fishes in Steinhatchee. He has told me on the past several outings that the general area you described barely produces anything while bottom fishing. The only places he's found anything is WNW out of Steinhatchee on numbers I used to fish out of St. Marks, and he claims the pi...

Re: Question for the local duck hunters

25 shells per hunter per hunt- this would cut down on the sky busting, if you can't kill 6 ducks with 25 shells shoot more skeet prior to the season. Thought that's what you meant. No harm, only a few page views so far. I was beginning to reconsider our future hunting ventures together :o

Re: Scored one with my hunting buddy

Micci and I took our little buddy duck hunting Saturday morning. Conditions were tough as it rained like crazy right before daylight- thoroughly soaking us. Then the fog rolled in. Mason still managed to take a 45 minute nap in the bottom of the boat  (using my shotgun case as a mattress to k...

Scored one with my hunting buddy

I've mentioned in a few posts about my little hunting buddy (Mason- 6 years old) and the perseverance he has toward the sport. Mason has sat the stand with me almost every time I have gone this season, and we've seen quite a few does and small bucks that we've let walk. Friday, we slipped over to a ...

Can't wait till my girls are old enough to get out there! That KID is awesome! He is about as driven to hun...

Re: Photo Contest

See if any of these tickle your fancy. I was lucky enough to take a trip to Indiana for their firearm season and was fortunate to fill my tag with this old guy. The scenery and hunting in the snow was a rare treat for this Florida Cracker. http://i62.tinypic.com/1onecl.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/alq...

Re: UNDERWATER VIDEO

After watching that, I could just envision the Maker sitting in a classroom full of preschoolers (I have one of those) and saying "Let's draw some animals to put in the Ocean" and then "Yeah! I like that one, let's make a bunch of them." Only from the minds of little kids could I...
