Re: Keaton Beach Shark Attack

Scary and sad for sure. Does anyone know what the water clarity was like yesterday? You think most of these attacks are stupid juvi sharks mistaking a persons hand for a fish. But 9’ shark should know the difference. Pulling for the young lady

Re: Florida Marine Tracks

I am familiar with the software, I guess I just wanted to see if they have updated our area from Apalachicola to Aucilla. Last time I checked on it they were still updating tracks here in the Big bend. Curious how much trust you have with the current tracks.. Liam They did an update last year, but ...

Re: Florida Marine Tracks

I have it on my flats skiff. Lowrance Elite 9. It's pretty darn accurate from what I can see. From St Marks to the west I would say it's not really that useful. From SM to the east it does a good job of showing some/most of the rocks and some routes to run. It's expensive but cheaper than a lower u...

Re: The trout seem to have worms right now

Just an FYI, all the trout we caught Sunday had worms. We didn’t bother to keep a single fish today. Have others noticed the same thing? How can you tell if they have worms without cleaning them? They scoot their butt on the bottom of the boat when you land them. ;-) :-D Those aren’t worms, y...

Re: The trout seem to have worms right now

The trout get worms if feeding on pinfish, not from feeding on shrimp they won't hurt you, just looks nasty I read that shrimp were the intermediate hosts between tapeworm egg and trout( shrimp eats egg, trout eats shrimp) then trout between shrimp and shark ( final host). I don’t remember the sour...

Re: The trout seem to have worms right now

Pretty common. Extra protein, not harmful except the ick factor. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk I had no idea. We usually do catch and release. Maybe once or twice a year we actually keep the fish. This was the first time they seemed to be full of them. Usually worse in spring and summer. It’...
