Wanted: transom dive platform/used anchor/used beat up prop
Have buddy who just bought a classic 1974 20ft mako.....great boat. He needs a dive platform to put on the transom, an old anchor grapel or danforth, and a prop to use as a spare (150 hp johnson).
Thanks for any help.
He will be starting on the board as "mulletshepard".

Any other freedivers in the area?
Just wanted to see if any other freedivers were in the area. Looking to acquire some long blades for the summer to help with bottom time, and a reel to help with safety.
Wondering what longblades have good reputations.

Took some of wife's friend's boys out for a grunt rally off East End Saturday. Grunts, puffer fish, and a few sea bass kept the kids busy. Was hoping for more sea bass, but I guess they are deeper. Took the grunts up to Posey's Dockside where they cooked em up for us.....yummy! Caught one 21" g...

looking for garmin internal antenna backplate for 162 0r 182
I have a garmin 162 black/white gps and love it even though it is "relatively" old. I just learned I can change the external antenna to an internal by changing the backplate. Its very easy. I will buy a antenna/backplate if anyone has one to get rid of, or will trade my current external an...

Re: Looking for 1970's-1980's 20ft. Mako

Definitly some possibilities there. Thanks guys! Just is case he finds a boat with no power..... Any displaced outboards float...

Will state waters be open for gags in the GOM? I assume GOM state waters are still out to 9 miles.

Can I use a smaller battery as a backup?
I have a 18ft flats boat and have always carried a second battery in the console, as a backup....I don't use livewells or trolling motors. Other that starting the motor, there isn't much draw. The motor is a 2 stroke 115. Can I use a smaller starting battery as a backup to save weight?

Idea about gulf fisheries managment?
Does anyone else think the federal government should stay out of fisheries managment? They can't managent anything right except for the military. In a dream world, the feds would only control use of our waters by other countries (Japan, Cuba, etc.). The fisheries managment for each state would be co...

VIS Report
Talked to some buddies who tried to dive today out of AP and take advantage of all the recent awesome vis. Well, it's gone. They said the vis was terrible. Maybe the south wind? Hope it clears again before it gets to cold.
