Trolled off DI wed afternoon for a few hours..... BIG swell from the SE . Caught 3 nice gags and an 8 ft tiger.... Neat fish. The water was dark green, but noticably clearer than two weeks ago when we dove and had 6-10 ft vis. I could see anchor line WAY down. So unless the bottom few feet were stir...

Around 40 ft mostly..... Vis varies through the day, but we were prob fortunate to have what we had with new moon tides and a big SE swell everyday..... Funny thing. I did a drop late wed afternoon about 630 and the vis was better 10-15.....who woulda thought. Water was prob high 60's to 70.... Not ...

Yep..... Non ethanol only..... Also running the 50:1 oil. It doesn't use much, and fuel economy has been great. I love Yamaha, but the 4 strokes were too heavy.

Have had an issue with the tach which seems like it has a bad connection somewhere . Also, down trim is testy. Will get both looked at after fishing season .... As for the engine itself , runs awesome. Plenty of low and mid range power for my flats boat.... I don't care about top end so haven't chec...

Went twice this week off DI for only a few hours each time and tore em up... Had a limit each day within 30 min.. Nice fish. Then released a bunch over 28" ..... Big kings are around too.... Caught 3 to 30lbs.... 40ft

I didn't stick my toes in the water, but it was beautiful and clear. Could see a small piece of cut bait 25 ft +......
