Ouzts is the place to be on a Wednesday.[/quote]
Wife and I used to go on Sunday afternoons, listen to the band and have a few oysters and cold beer. Is there something special there on Wednesday that we have been missing out on?

Re: CCA Star Tourney. Who's In?

76 total CCA STAR entries as of t Highlight of today's outing was a 6:30am bear sighting just before the SMNWR toll booth. Mama and 2 cubs sat in the middle of the road and stared into my car's headlights from 30 feet away. I finally flashed the high beams, and they bolted. That reminded me that th...

Re: Food Plots - What to plant?

If you have the time I would get a soil test. The right ph allows the plants to take up the nutrients from the soil as well as your fertilizer more efficiently. Pelletized lime works faster and you will need less of it however it"s effects won't last as long, i.e. reapplying yearly. If you can'...

Re: Here Kitty Kitty

Great report and good job getting a young man fired up about fishing. Few things are as emotionally rewarding as working with children.

Re: Shell Point/Live Oak

Pretty sure I will never be a good enough fisherman to need to use code but it was fun to try and solve the riddle. I had hammerhead but guessed tripletail on trizzie. Never would have gotten bull or plastic color.

Where did you find this out? I have searched and haven't found anything. It's only about 2 miles from driveway to park entrance for me so I am excited about the potential reopening.

Forgot to mention I have not been there since the hurricane so everything may be different. Try half hitch for bait and tackle. They usually post a fishing report on their website.

Re: St Andrews State Park this weekend, need advice

Haven't fished there in several years but I have caught some big redfish off the jetties this time of year. Should be sheepshead now also. When the water starts to warm up a bit I have caught Spanish, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, redfish, and the occasional jack. If you decide to fish the jetties y...

Please forgive my ignorance but what is a "SouthGaReel"? I certainly don't want my ignorance to cause me to miss out on the finer things in life, or not so fine either.

Re: Had a good day Tuesday

Thanks for the replies, suggestions, and welcomes. Been following along for a while. You guys are who I learned from to try creek mouths and to fish shallow flats on a sunny afternoon incoming tide this time of year. So thanks for all you have taught me thus far. Great tip about the rubber dipped ne...

Had a good day Tuesday

Started fishing a creek mouth around 8:30 with live shrimp. Caught 6 reds 18-20 inches before I drifted in too shallow. Fished a few deep holes and only caught short trout the largest being around 14 inches. When the tide turned I moved onto some shallow flats and fished a chartreuse twitch bait. Im...
