I had the second Go devil around Lake Seminole .......... We'll I had the 1st so think how I felt when I saw you show up with your "better than everyone else's" rig. Think of what the airboaters thought when the mud motors showed up. My family used to kill a pile of ducks down on t...

So, did R&R marine have the boat in their shop for fiberglass work? Did you ask Rick about the boat? He used to build boats so he would tell you what would be a satisfactory solution to both parties. However if you are not going to accept a repair on a new boat, I would have had the boat up at A...

I always have a backup rod rigged with a light jighead (1/16, 1/8), 8# line and a live shrimp. After a missed blowup, drop the topwater rod and pick up the live shrimp and toss it back letting it land in the swirl next to the topwater bait. Probably 6 out of 10 times he'll hit this rig if he didn't ...

That was very cool. The least amount of bait I've ever used to catch reds was a hook and a 1/4 inch piece of fishbite. Caught 14.

I guess I finally have found a good use for these peppers I grew this year.

I'm officially hooked myself.

My wife is even happy with this sport. She enjoys having me home while the kids are awake. As long as I play while their asleep I'm gold with her.

I'm satisfied with my $150 investment in lights right now. I'm running 400 watts under the water. Haven't really wished for more light than I have. Of course as soon as I experience 2000 watts of light, I'm sure I'll change my mind. But like somebody told me, "I used to gig with a lantern and a...

I was out there last night. Once the clouds cleared and the moon came out around midnight, you needed moon block lotion. It was bright

Shell Point stick'in 08/29

Evening started out under someones boat shed while the rain subsided. Around 9:20pm we put the lights in the water and started looking for outlines. Went 200 yards, nothing. Almost turned back but just kept on. About 100 yards later we have 1 in the box and 1 on the loose. Another 50 yards puts us i...

Here is the new light bracket. The pvc was just a little too small for the trolling motor bracket so I had to put some emergency duct tape on it. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n205/bbbdale/lights002.jpg Here is the old light bracket. I had to cut one of the arms off to get the lights out of it....

No. They are 12 volt 100 watt lights. I run 4 lights off 2 deep cycle batteries. I can go 2 nights or 10 hours without a recharge.

I'll take a pic of the old frame and the new frame and post it tonight or in the morning.

It would take you about 10 minutes to build the frame with pvc a sawsall and pvc cement.

Actually you can have my old frame minus the lights and one of the light brackets. You'd be 75% of the way there.

The trolling motor stays at home. A trolling motor in the water would probably make the sheepshead spook. Plus I'm only in a foot or 2 of water so a trolling motor would just muddy up the water. You don't need a trolling motor to move down the bars. I just judge the tide and wind and then pick out o...
