Gen. Lee I'm going up to Lawrenceville, GA next weekend, if you guys arrange something out, I can grab on my way down through Thomasville and get to you next time I'm in Panacea.

Re: Tucker Lake
There's supposed to be a spring at one end of it with lily pads, but I haven't gotten around to checking it out there. I went a few times this winter and went into Chaires Creek. I caught all my fish bouncing a glow cal shad on a 1/4 oz jighead. Small reds and a few legal trout Place is bug city, I'...

Re: Lanark/Carrabelle 25 Feb 2017
Thanks Capt. I was using that crazy jerk bait rig you taught us at the seminar. It's killer on bass in the lily pads too, as far as I've tried. Did you try any natural baits? Negative Ghostrider. I have a 7ft cast net I brought out once, but carrying the net and bait bucket really threw off the trac...

Lanark/Carrabelle 25 Feb 2017
I put in just east of Carrabelle at 7:30 am to a way low tide, dead calm, and very poor visibility. Realistically I couldn't see much of anything for a good hr and really shouldn't have put in. I kept the road to my back and went straight out. I was looking to start fishing at 3 to 5 feet but the wa...

Re: Chicken boy lures
Those look pretty sweet, if they were available locally I'd probably try the glow/chart shads.
Re: Carr Lake
If you want a buddy to check it out with I'll go with you on the plastic boats. I've never fished it, but I'm always in for an adventure. Send me a pm.

Re: Carrabelle?
There's the aforementioned St. George bridges, very good fishing if you know what to do. (I don't). There's a public pavilion and pier on Marine Street. You can drown a shrimp and there's reds to be caught. Bring lots of tackle if fishing there. There's some interesting folks that frequent that pier...

Re: Z-man scented shrimp VS Gulp
If you're new to Z-Man soft plastics, know that Z-Man recommends not to store their ElaZtech products with other types of soft plastics... This is probably the most relevant information you've ever copied and pasted, good call. Yeah, Zman will melt with other plastics into one terrible nightmarish ...

Re: Z-man scented shrimp VS Gulp
I like me a DOA CAL shad in glow and I fish with it almost exclusively, with little or no weight. They naturally sink. I fish the 3 inch glow shad maybe 70% of the time. I've out fished my buddies who were using Gulp while sitting in the same crappy gheenoe so DOA for sure works, just mostly in the ...

Re: 2017 Flats Pro Seminars--SOLD OUT
Definitely fun and informative, I'm glad I jumped on that last spot. I have a feeling that jerkbait rigging is going to be a game changer for me. I was expecting a public school brown paper bag lunch, not some shrimp and fried catfish. The catfish and beans did it for me, yum. Thanks for putting it ...

Re: iso fishing kayak
I got my Redfish 12 from Craigslist as a beginner's kayak. Here's some insight... You don't need a Hobie, Native, or Jackson to find and catch fish. They are nice and worth every penny, but to a beginner it's wholly unnecessary. I consider a 12 ft sit on top kayak as a gold standard. Any longer and ...
