Motor Guide Trolling Motor

I have a Motorguide bow mount, hand control, 70 lb thrust, 24 volt trolling motor in the corner of my garage if anybody needs one. Here's the deal - It came new on my boat in 2000. I ran it fine for a year or more, then had a problem with a couple of the switches inside the head of the motor. I went...

I haven't verified this with my partner, but as far as I know, Steve Stinson and Steve Brantley are good to go.

Feb. Tournament

Mike -

Thanks for the heads-up. My partner has been contacted, and I am home from work sick today, so this works out better for me.

Trailer

Wevans - I called TC about it yesterday. I had to have new septic lines run in my backyard and can not cross them with my heavy diesel pickup to get down to my burn pile. I do have a Gravely tractor with a 1 7/8" ball that could haul that trailer. I was just going to use it for hauling trash ar...

Atticus - I have had some luck with a flyrod on the trout. The best fly so far has been a chartruese clouser. I fish it on a 12 lb. tippet equal in length to the rod I am using. I have had some luck fishing from the deck of my bayboat, but to be honest, I prefer wading or fishing out of my canoe whe...

T.F. - Let me know if it works. I would like to see the finished product if you go that route.

Blue Dolphin - What brand tandem axle did he buy?

Thanks - Steve

I would say no, just by looking at the pictures. You are going to have the same problem with your bay boat that I had with mine.

Which boat do you have? Sea Pro recommended that I adjust the bunks on the trailer to avoid the chines on my hull. I can't get the bunks adjusted in or out enough to accomplish missing the chines.

From my research: 1. Adding another axle to the same trailer is costly and difficult. ( You may as well swap trailers and sell the old one). 2. It is possible to replace the single axle with one that has a larger weight capacity(6500 lb.), but you have to go to six lug rims and larger hubs, so you c...

My 2000 Sea Pro came on a single-axle Performance galvanized trailer. After 2 years use, the axle warped and I have flipped it over just to get by.

I was hoping the tandem would work and hold the weight of my rig better.
